-Tell me about yourself and how you became involved with Twisted Gate comics?
I own Twisted Gate Entertainment. I got sick of working for everyone else and wanted creative control so I started the company in 2002. I live in Cincinnati Ohio and run the company as a full-time job.
-Share with some insight on the characters in the comics? I'm sure that you have a favorite, who may that be?
Wow, there are a bunch of characters. We carry so many titles and anthology books the characters are countless. I am partial to the Mothman stuff we do. It's a really cool cryptid/myth/creature from Point Pleasant West Virginia. I love the city and it's weird past.
-Is there a date as to when your new comic books will be released?
We are releasing things all of the time. We just released a toy company's book called Twisted Tots as well as a collection of stuff from the Slackmatic crew. Next month we will be releasing another issue of the Portal anthology as well as some new Mothman stuff.
-I see that you are also involved with video. Could you tell me about the film "Hell's Cemetery" Great trailer!
Thanks, it's basically our first try at film making. It was supposed to be a full length film but with so many problems and even one of the actors passed away before finishing his parts so we had to edit so much it ended up being turned into a short. We have some great special effects but some of the acting sucked. It was a great first try and I promise movie #2 will be better. It's called Organ Donar and will begin filming within a month.
-And share with me some insight on Cincinnati Graffiti and some of the writers involved?
I was always a fan of graffiti and searched the world for videos and magazines on the subject and there was really nothing and the few there were either always went out of business or were from the 80's. We have alot of great writers here in Cincinnati and I just wanted to show what I could before it was gone. The videos feature about 99 percent art that has disappeared since being filmed. I hate to see something as great as some of this art just being painted over and lost forever. The 2 videos turned out great and I almost have enough footage to release volume 3.
-What are some of your future goals?
Staying in the game and releasing more quality entertainment for everyone. Twisted Gate is quickly becoming more of a household name and I just want to take it as far as possible. I own everything and fund it all out of my pocket so there's no risk of Twisted Gate going out of business. I am a smart businessman and I make sure every risk I take won't break us. My dream is for the company to outlive me and continue on for many years.
-Is there anything else that you wish to add in about your work?
It's great, it's different, it's worth a look and I am sure you won't be disappointed. There's something for everyone and if you don't feel that way let me know and I will fix that!
